The northern forests are dense and smell of evergreen and decomposing vegetation that is like no other. When the sun works its way through the openings with its rich glow, it illuminates ever so gently the silver tips of the needles. It is truly a moment in time.
As a girl, my artistic creativity was awakened by an art teacher in high school. I learned at a young age to see the world in color, shapes and reflective light and so went on my way for many years as an astute observer of life in those terms. I later fell in love with watercolors and the joy of playing with pigment and water. As I travel, I'm inspired by "moments" of beauty that create a lasting vision needing to be captured not just by the eye but by the soul.
