Towns all around Ontario hold lighting of the lights events in December each year to welcome the holiday season. It's a time of gathering that becomes part of our memories throughout our life. I've tried to capture this in my watercolour and hope it will spark some pleasant thoughts for you.
As a girl, my artistic creativity was awakened by an art teacher in high school. I learned at a young age to see the world in color, shapes and reflective light and so went on my way for many years as an astute observer of life in those terms. I later fell in love with watercolors and the joy of playing with pigment and water. As I travel, I'm inspired by "moments" of beauty that create a lasting vision needing to be captured not just by the eye but by the soul.
