The Christmas season begins early for our family because we wish to share in so many festivities and need the time to take in all our favorite activities. Decorating the tree is of course paramount in the preparations. I wanted to include this wonderful memory in my collection of work for Christmas cards.
As a girl, my artistic creativity was awakened by an art teacher in high school. I learned at a young age to see the world in color, shapes and reflective light and so went on my way for many years as an astute observer of life in those terms. I later fell in love with watercolors and the joy of playing with pigment and water. As I travel, I'm inspired by "moments" of beauty that create a lasting vision needing to be captured not just by the eye but by the soul.
