Snowy days without a wind and temperatures close to freezing make interesting patterns on newly forming ice. Sometimes the mixing of cold air and warmer water produce an ice fog over water that makes a mystical scene. I tried to capture that in a watercolor.
As a girl, my artistic creativity was awakened by an art teacher in high school. I learned at a young age to see the world in color, shapes and reflective light and so went on my way for many years as an astute observer of life in those terms. I later fell in love with watercolors and the joy of playing with pigment and water. As I travel, I'm inspired by "moments" of beauty that create a lasting vision needing to be captured not just by the eye but by the soul.
